An Art Interlude: BoldBrush Competition

As regular readers of An American Editor know, my wife, Carolyn Edlund, is a professional painter (to view samples of her work, visit her website at www.carolynedlund.com).

Carolyn has entered a painting competition called BoldBrush, which ends July 31. A part of the competition’s judging is the number of unique viewer “likes.” Consequently, I am asking that you take a moment to view her entry, The Sentry, and if you like it, to vote for it by clicking the “Like” button on its page.

The link to the The Sentry at the BoldBrush competition is:

Carolyn and I appreciate your support. Thank you.

  1. Stunning painting. I think Carolyn’s secret is that she paints with light not oils. 🙂

I couldn’t see where to “like” the entry, though. Do I need to create an account first?

    • There is a thumbs up icon (I think it is the Facebook Like icon) that appears to the right of the painting. You click that. It takes you to a Facebook page/log-in. It appears you have to be enrolled in Facebook to leave a like.

      • I wonder why I’m not seeing a thumbs up icon. Perhaps it’s only open to US residents.

  2. Done! I love this painting. The detail is amazing, and I really like the position of the clouds in the background. I’m so impressed.
