An Art Interlude: A Painting Contest

As many of you know, my wife, Carolyn Edlund, is a master painter.  Occasionally, she enters art competitions. She has entered one called You Be the Judge, where viewers of the contest website get to vote on the entries. Carolyn’s entry is entry #7 (third row, right side). You can click on the image to enlarge it and get more information.

If you like her painting, we would appreciate your voting for her entry by scrolling to the bottom of the page and selecting her entry. Regardless, we hope you visit the site and enjoy all the fine art that has been submitted.

  1. I went to the page but it is impossible to know what you are voting for – there are no descriptions on the paintings. I voted anyway! Good luck to your wife.

    • Thanks, Irene. My wife and I agree about the difficulties with the website, but, alas, there is little we can do about it. The artists who run the website are well-known for their art, but clearly not for their web design :).

  2. Found “The Sentry” and this fan has voted. All the best to Carolyn.

  3. Click on a painting and it gives you the artist name, number and title. And yes, the number should be on the page as well as the enlarged view. If I were doing it I’d put all of that info on the index and simply click for the larger view. And yes, I voted for “The Sentry”. Nice work!

    • Thank you, Kay. We agree that the website could be much better, and we have forwarded your comments (and the comments of others who have commented here on AE) to the artists who own the website.

  4. Also had a wander around the art show….. enlarged a number of the paintings to see them better, and finally happily voted for Carolyn’s painting with conviction… Beautiful.
